If a lead test shows your water to be unsafe, use bottled water or a water filter that is certified to remove lead. Use only cold water from the tap for drinking, cooking or for preparing baby formula.
Wash children’s toys, pacifiers and bottle nipples frequently. Wash your hands before preparing food, and wash your child’s face and hands before meals.
Never purchase, store or heat foods in cans manufactured outside the United States; these may contain lead.
Have painted toys and glazed dishes made outside the Unites States tested for lead, or dispose of them. Never use imported dishware to store food.
