Amphetamines are stimulants commonly referred to as “speed” or “uppers.” They are taken to provide the user with a false sense of energy, and they can do serious physical damage.

Symptoms of amphetamine use:

Restlessness marked by unusual talkativeness;
Decreased appetite with weight loss;

Dilated pupils and dry mouth; Insomnia and trembling; Angry, paranoid, or violent behavior. Health risks:Increased risk of violence;

Stroke or heart failure.
