I need a hat.
Wide brimmed would be best.
While I am thankful for many things… including, but not limited to my family, friends, fellow bloggers, the food I eat, the bed I sleep in and the brave men and women in the military who make it all possible… I’m not thankful at all for my newly blonde hair.
The box said light ash brown.
They lied.
What am I doing coloring my hair on Thanksgiving, anyway? Well, nuking a Stouffer’s turkey dinner takes little to no effort; what else was I supposed to do?

I couldn’t recolor, not so soon… a professional could get away with it, though… hmmm….
Usually the color comes out okay… haven’t colored for about a year and I just grew tired of my ‘normal’ color… but this… frankly, I’ll learn to live with it until it’s time to do it again.
Yes, I’ve made mistakes before….
should’ve just napped…
No shit!
That was funny. I hope you still enjoyed Thanksgiving Day, anyway. I used to go get my hair coloring done by professionals, but they’re so expensive, so I started doing it myself. I’m happy to save all that money for myself.

Me too! I used to get mine done at a salon, but why, when a box of color is less than 10? Ooops… I think I just answered my own question.
We need Pictures!!!!!
After my dye job accident I will never touch my hair again, there is a reason why there are such places as beauty school.
My dye job accident was my moms fault, I asked for a shade lighter then my dark dark brown hair. I was thinking a nice med brown color, my mom buys blonde. I screamed in horror when I saw it and made her go right out and buy a brown color and we re-colored right then and there.
It’s blonde. It’s even blonder today, if such a thing is possible! I just keep telling myself that it’ll grow out, and it will… but what about truth in advertising? Can we get just a little bit of that around here??
Yep, now I’m getting pissed. Must be mourning the follicles.
That reminds me my hair needs touching up, the roots are starting to show! I’ve often thought of going blond but usually go for a reddish colour
Well, my blond has some red in it… which is odd, since the box specifically states ASH. Nah, not bitter at all.
I tried to do my hair the day before I went in for surgery, if you can believe that. Thank God I had backup color on hand, which I desperately needed to cover the mistake. I need a good cut and color soon. My hair is starting to look like it belongs to Keith Richards.
I’d like to know why there are so many ‘mistakes’ while coloring one’s hair! I mean, we buy what we’re supposed to, follow the directions… and still end up with mistakes!
No, still pissed. Hmmmm….
There are errors because the color isn’t of professional grade. The developer (the bleaching component) isn’t the right strength, nor do we have the ability to see and reach all the places we want to reach if we’re just highlighting (which I was doing). And we don’t have those big fancy driers.
Ah ha! I must have had too much bleaching agent, dammit.
You did know that I went to beauty school, right? I dropped out, though. Couldn’t handle the bitchiness and the nastiness from the staff.
You’re a… beauty school dropout? Were you ever in a little thing called Grease?
yes, a beauty school dropout, but I had no guardian angel to come sing to me. Instead, I went to work and had several beers and danced the night away.
That’s the way to do it!

I’ve never tried coloring my hair. And now I’m afraid to! Can you try a different color, or is it bad to re-color so soon after having just done it?
