The glass is half full

I got up fuming this morning because of a little thing. It’s always a little thing.
Some small time before I’d been sleeping peacefully, all thoughts of whitefly gone. All that remained were the dreams that carried me through the night. Beautiful fawn colored Jersey cows dressed in lederhosen floated above me, held gently aloft by hot air balloons; I was a futures broker who had just cornered the market in bull pizzles*. The cows, upon hearing the glad news, released milk colored confetti from their udders.
Freud would love it, I know.
But then I was jarred awake by someone using the toilet next to my head. Basically. It’s a small house, but we do have two bathrooms. Why? And let me tell you, it’s the little things that will drive you insane. The eroding lack of respect and regard…. because after too long a time and I will start doing the same thing. The end of care.
But right now the glass is still half full. The attrition of living together hasn’t worn us down - yet. I wonder how long it will take.
*Always looking out for my dog, even in my sleep.

I always try to be quite! It’s just good manners and is inherent when you care about a person, right? Ugh.
So many times he’s come to bed at midnight or 2:00am, flipped on a light and started talking to me! That doesn’t happen much anymore, though, because I let him know that I didn’t like to be wakened in that manner…!
Can you imagine? Still love him, though. Something must be wrong somewhere.
Are you really expecting someone of the male gender to be thoughtful and considerate? LOL Ain’t gonna happen! They can’t help it though, it’s in the genes. I don’t men hear how loud they are, so have no idea that they need to be quiet. I raised my son on my own, and he still acts like a man! Sigh. Some things just can’t be changed…

You’re right; some things are just out of our scope of knowledge! Why doesn’t the gubmint allocate some dadgum funds to study the male of the species!?
Thanks so much for stopping by and keeping my Eric in your prayers. I have to tell you and Theresa above that the man that I share my life with must be very special and maybe 2 of a kind because he never causes me any discomfort and is very considerate and I have never met anyone like him so believe me I must have had some good Karma.
You either got very lucky or the good Lord planned for you to have a wonderful helpmate in this life, Jude.
My husband is an exceptionally good man and I love him to death… it’s just that sometimes the tiny things drive me batty.
Hugs and prayers for Eric!

Well looking at that glass it actually looks 3/4 full.
I know what you mean about being quite in the mornings, I try my hardest to be quite, not turn the bathroom lite on until the door is closed etc. But Mr Weenie either does it on purpose or he is so clueless that a clue bat upside the head wouldn’t help. I’m thinking it’s the later.
