Potpourri

I don’t do Thursday 13 but this is sort of a Thursday potpourri…

→ Loved, loved, loved last night’s episode of Bones showcasing the evils of dog fighting, especially since they had Cesar Millan on the show; I’m a huge fan. Arthur thought he did really well and I opined that I wasn’t surprised, since he’s used to playing himself on tv. And yes, I cried. Like a baby with diaper rash I sobbed for those dogs. Gee, do you think they used Michael Vick as a template?

→ Upon returning home with my new Asics last week I looked online and found that the Lady Foot Locker dude had sold me shoes designed for overpronators. I don’t overpronate, but thought they felt so comfortable I could break them in to my feet. After walking a few times the consensus is… maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell but I’m going back to LFL to educate said dude. Part of the blame lies squarely on my shoulders, and the 135. purchase price is part of my penance. I knew I wanted the Nimbus and I should have gone to Fleet Feet instead of a mall store. That’s what I get for being in a hurry.

→ I’m currently eating an egg sandwich and drinking Odwalla Tropical Energy. Hell, I need something to pick me up; the morning walk sucked, I have a pain in my back and all I want to do is lie down and go to sleep.

→ Prayer going out for Foxy, an 11 year old Rottweiler friend of mine who has edema in three legs and is on her way to the vet as I type this.

→ Friend and blogger Tammi visited with us for a couple of days. I already love her, but it took about half a millisecond for Arthur and Bree to become her devotees as well. We’re all ready to see her again!
In truth, being around Tammi made me miss my best friend that much more.

→ Note to self: ask Santa for a PS2; after all, Christmas is only three months away.

See? There weren’t 13.
