Dogs are easy to entertain and happy to go along for a ride, wherever it may end. Delighted to eat whatever you’re eating, sleep when and where you sleep. Obliging in most every way, some of us can’t seem to live without one.
A cure for empty nest syndrome, stress reliever, protector and damned good excuse for a daily walk, dogs are good for us in many ways. And all they need in return is some food, a visit to the vet once a year and love.
There’s no need for school supplies, an education Roth, child insurance, braces, dance lessons, 3:00am trips to the E.R., summer camp or 600 ‘why’ questions in one afternoon. Not that I’d mind all that; dogs are no certainly no substitute for a chubby cheeked little munchkin.
But it’s a dog’s life for me.
It’s a lopsided relationship we have, humans and dogs. But I’m grateful for it every day.

Amen!
Except my puppers need vet care more then once a year, glad we have the insurance. They came home from the kennel with an infection of some sort and are antibiotics.
So sorry your your little ones! Hope they feel better!
I made so many trips to the vet with Tess I think the doctor went on an exotic vacation every year we went there… hopefully Bree will be healthy, at least until she’s older.
I thought about insurance with Button, and should have had it with Tess. Just never go ahead and get it, though I know it helps, especially in emergencies.
